In the aftermath of the riots in Baltimore as a result of the apparent murder of Freddie Gray I saw a ridiculous news report where members of the Bloods and Crips were interviewed and wanted to make the point that they are upstanding dudes who are totally misunderstood and not the silly violent criminals we all know them to be.
We live in a society where narcissism and self-importance are at an all time high. Fat people think they are heroes for speaking out about body shaming and want to picket models because they work out. I just read an article about a chick who is celebrating her two year anniversary of getting herpes and sees herself as some sort of activist. I believe this to be a result of American disenfranchisement and essentially a sign the bad guys have won and we are giving up and trying to milk whatever pleasure we can out of our years here and screw everybody else. It’s actually a form of Satanism. Vote Jeb. Props to Bruce Jenner.
Of all the examples to point to this has to be the most absurd. A bunch of Bloods and Crips whining that the police have unfairly singled them out. If you see this as a problem, perhaps you should cease being a member of the Bloods and or Crips, you fucking retards.
A Baltimore news channel carried the report, in which a white reporter says “A number of young people told me they needed to have their voices heard.” Cut to a bunch of thugs in gang colors. I’ll ignore the frighteningly obvious racism here in that this reporter considers your average young black guy to be a card carrying gang member.
What we know is around 30 members of various Bloods and Crips factions called a truce in the wake of the Freddie Gray incident. The Baltimore Police Department issued a statement saying they had a “credible threat” that this was being done in an effort to kill police officers without having to bother with killing each other as is standard procedure.
On a side note, the Baltimore PD like to beat people up, intimidate people, shoot them and harass them, and they all wear the same colors and most likely had zero evidence to back up their claim, as is standard procedure.
The Bloods and Crips wanted to clear the air. One guy, while wearing his gang colors, blamed the media for portraying gang members as gang members:
“We want the people of Baltimore City to know that the image they are trying to portray of gangs in Baltimore, the Bloods, the Crips, we did not make that truce to harm cops. We did not come together to harm cops. We’re not about to allow y’all to paint this picture of us… It makes us look real bad, and it’s backing up what they are saying about us.”
I’m not sure the media makes you look bad. It’s more that you are on the record of aligning with a group known only for committing violent crimes. You’re not even known for doing anything else. That’s all you do. Everyone hates you. Nice try blaming the media, but you’re making yourselves look bad. Further bitching ensued:
“Why don’t they paint this picture in a positive way? When a group of 30 Bloods walks up on a group of 30 Crips and everyone salutes and shakes hands and hugs and starts to take pictures. But then everyone says, ‘Oh no, they’re uniting to kill cops.'”
It’s pretty much impossible to paint anything the Bloods and Crips do in a positive way. It’s beyond comical that violent street gangs are actively soliciting positive spin from the media. Have you made any donations lately?
I think I can help you guys out. If you want to be portrayed positively, stop being members of the Bloods or Crips. Beyond your stupid publicity stunt, this would immediately have a positive effect on the city of Baltimore.
I’m assuming you dropped out of middle school so let’s do some basic math. You know how it sucks when you or your friends or family members are the victims of crime at the hands of people in your rival gang? It sucks equally for the people you are committing crimes against. Basic division says if you all stop being gang members their will be less incidents. Your Facebook photo is super cute, but you’re missing the point entirely. Gangs aren’t formed to do good. Perhaps you missed orientation.
I invite all of you to take a walk through West Baltimore and see how the Bloods and Crips have been wrongfully characterized. I strapped on some Jordans and a gold chain the other day and was pleased to see several nice gentlemen in red bandanas offered me a free glass of lemonade before I was violently beaten.

American cities such as Baltimore have been engineered to marginalize certain groups of people. The powers that be had no idea you’d want to put on identifying colors and make their jobs easier.
Gang members are misunderstood. Guys who say hello on the street are sexual predators. Some more math: If everyone’s a martyr or a hero why does shit keep getting worse?
