The Editor Of The Huffington Post Doesn’t Read Books Written By White People

Chloe Angyal is the Senior Front Page Editor at The Huffington Post. She recently wrote a piece, conspicuously published on The Huffington Post, titled “I Decided Not To Read Books By White Authors For A Year. Conservatives Lost Their Damn Minds.” She briefly explains how whites are overrepresented in the literary world in general and in the reading assigned in academia and that she is taking this step in attempt to correct this disparity. Basically, she’s just doing her part. Last year, for example, she didn’t read any books written by men. I love when people don’t do things as a form of activism. Maybe she’ll stop reading in general next out of protest.

After she mundanely states her reasoning, Angyal goes on to list a bunch of mean things people said to her on Twitter following her announcement. They called her a cunt and said she should die. It’s basically the same thing that happens to everyone else on Twitter when they say idiotic or inflammatory things, although I’ll concede it may happen to women more often. I’ll also concede that nobody cares because Twitter is populated by bored jackasses and depraved feminists who are so entitled as to think anyone gives a motherfucking fuck about their reading habits, and if you don’t want to deal with it you can just block people or sign off entirely. If it really bothers you, stop provoking the people you’re trying to provoke, failing that, just get off Twitter and visit a bakery.

As Angyal says, “trolls will troll”, yet it’s quite obvious by the divisive title of her article, she’s indeed trolling. “Conservatives lost their damn minds.” Hear that, any idiot who considers themselves a diehard conservative or liberal please chime in on my manufactured controversy. She could have written a nice piece about how minorities are discriminated against in the publishing world, if that is indeed true, but nobody would care. She’s targeting the idiots who think they’re on a team. She doesn’t know that she’s also on Team Loser. Buy a shirt.

Obviously self imposing restrictions on what you read could pose a few problems. Let’s say you’re looking into evolution. Darwin is off the table. Maybe you’re researching the oppression of women at the hands of the Catholic Church. Sam Harris might be a good resource. Double whammy, he’s white and a man. Of course there are more than likely plenty of female minorities who have written on that subject, but, you’re still limiting yourself. It’s something stupid people do, like talk about how they don’t like certain movies they’ve never seen. Going further, there are definitely niche subjects out there exclusively written about by white men. Such as a firsthand account of what it was like to be in combat in Vietnam, for example. Angyal is the type of person who invokes self censorship when she really means lazy ignorance. Yet, she’ll still have an opinion. You can bet on that. She’ll have her fucking opinion on something she won’t read. Oh, for sure.

People on either side of the political spectrum tell you they won’t read something or watch something because they don’t want to lend it legitimacy, as if anybody in their right mind would factor in their approval. It’s called self aggrandizing narcissism.

While clearly nobody cares what Angyal reads or does in her personal life outside of probably accusing her Uber drivers of misogyny because they don’t open the door for her, you might question how somebody as divisive and partial could competently edit a major website such as The Huffington Post. From what I understand, she picks what goes on the front page of that website. Today’s postings on that page featured typical articles about the election and El Chapo, and a gem called “Hillary Duff’s Advice To Short Women.” That’s the type of hard hitting stuff her own writing aspires to, I would guess?

I’m not one to subscribe to theories about reverse racism or sexism. I don’t normally believe in them. Apparently some people at The Huffington Post do. Perhaps sanctimonious trolls like Angyal contribute most to the problem.

Regardless, if you continue read the Time Warner owned Huffington Post, realize this is the type of indoctrinated gender neutral pejorative flake supplying your information. She’d so want me to call her a cunt. Not buying into it. Enjoy your ponytails and feral cats libtards.
