I was born and raised in Alaska and the top three questions I always get were: 1) Did you live in an igloo
2) Did we have a dog sled 3) Did I eat whale blubber

We moved to Washington state when I was still in grade school and for some reason my being from Alaska was very exciting. But when I answered all the questions – NO. I was deemed nothing special and the questions stopped. I still have wonderful memories of living in Alaska and hope one day to move back. 🙂
