So I saw this on your cousin Charlie’s page and decided to peek at it because he has showed me some other thing or two you have written that was extremely good. I have to say some states you nail it right on the head and some states, like the one that I was born and raised in til i was 28 is absolutely wrong.
Some common Utah activities or “traditional” foods whatever else they do are
Jello with fruit in it no matter the celebration… Wedding, funeral, graduation, Baptisms, new job, being fired or going away on a mission.
Don’t forget to bring the “funeral potatoes” Both those food dishes are and have been at 99.9% of the events or parties or celebrations I attended.
Even at some childhood birthdays.

We love to mix ketchup and mayonnaise and call it fry sauce. i do this actually, even while living here in Washington I ask for a side of mayo when getting fries. its actually delicious.

They are usually sitting in a corner drinking coke,coffee or some other drink with caffeine which isn’t suppose to be allowed,hide it in their closet away from their childern, while bad mouthing other people who let their kids drink soda. I had numerous friends who found their parents stash and we always took soda pop from it.

They are bringing over new neighbors, or neighbors who were in the hospital or some other kind of Sympathy food event and they show up with…. yup jello or funeral potatoes.
