Recent Gullibles. 1

These are a few things people believed me say recently when I selfishly lying for my own amusement.

1) The actor Willem Dafoe is a completely different person from actor WILLIAM Dafoe (who isn’t a real person.) Also notice the slight differential in spelling the name. Willem is similar to William. Anyway, both of them look very similar and it is often remarked upon how unlikely it is that two people with such an unusual last name and distinctive appearance would both be successful actors. This has been discussed to the point that it is just a boring conversation and not weird at all anymore.

2) The United States government has several Senate Committees. The most important of which are probably the committees of Finance, Armed Services, Transportation, and Energy.

However, one of the more under-appreciated committees is the Committee on Music Appreciation which is headed up by Senator John McCain who took the job because he wants to promote his Gordon Lightfoot Agenda.

3) Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, is buried in Arlington National Cemetary.

4) When you meet someone named Shawn, but it is spelled SEAN, like Sean Penn, you actually should pronounce their name like Scene. Or else it is racist.

4) David Blaine, the magician guy, is my dentist.

That’s all I have but hopefully I’ll think of more ideas. I can’t believe any of these things were believed.

The Dafoe one is great. People will believe anything if you put it to them the right way. Got more?
