Here is a list of true, not fake, news items which happened this week and are headlines on the front page of the Daily Mail, which is an unreliable publication, but these things are all actually true:
- Steve Jobs, a man admired by many, emotionally abused his only daughter on a serial basis, according to her new book.
- Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a serial liar, refused to condemn Donal Trump’s assertion that the press are the “Enemy of the people.” She did this in a coy manner, winking to Trump’s ignorant and racist supporters, and then proceeded to complain about how she has to travel with the Secret Service, because people hate her.
- NASCAR driver Greg Biffle installed cameras in the bedrooms and bathrooms of his wife and mother-in-law, and uploaded footage of them to his server at work. He claims the cameras were to catch the maids, as he claims they were stealing.
- A woman in Florida was arrested after neighbors complained of several small children roaming the streets and covered in head lice and sores. Police arrived to find six malnourished children, who will be placed into foster care.
- Some guy walks around Target stores taking upskirt photos of 15 year old girls. He was caught in the act and later arrested.
- Actress Molly Hawkey, who is childless and has gone into credit card debt in order to freeze her ovum, has a podcast called Spermcast, where she will interview potential sperm donors. She is also asking for money from the general public, for some reason.
- A toddler in Philadelphia was mauled to death by his family’s five pit bulls.
- Paul Manafort, Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, bought a $15,000 ostrich jacket with money that he laundered from Ukrainian oligarchs who had a succeeding interest in influencing American politics.
- A 25 mother of three who lives in New York died after receiving discount liposuction treatment in the Dominican Republic.
- Warner Brothers is rebooting Alf, a show about a cat eating alien who lives with a family of boring white people.
- Payton Manning adopted a dog that was severely abused by a carnie.
- Ivanka Trump went out on a limb and stated she is against separating children from their parents when they are detained for crossing the border.
- A cop shot a guy who wasn’t resisting.
- A guard at a migrant children’s shelter sexually abused a 14 year old girl who was separated from her parents.
- A black guy ordered a pizza, and the employee put his name as “Nigger” on the receipt.
What do all of these events have in common? They show that the world is a deranged and dangerous place, populated nearly exclusively by people who are attempting to take advantage of each other.
I realize many of these events are sensationalized and hand picked by editors based on how disturbing they generally are. Yet if only one of these events had happened, in the past decade, it would still portray a deeply flawed world.
It’s like the death penalty. It shouldn’t exist, because there’s a good chance that eventually you’ll take an innocent man’s life, as happened with Cameron Todd Willingham and an unknown number of other innocent men, mostly southern black guys.
That one instance makes the entire prospect frightening, and the fact that it is still widely practiced, despite all of this, further illustrates that the world is populated by idiots, psychopaths, perverts, and murderous egomaniacs.
When you walk down Hollywood Boulevard, or through Times Square, there is a good chance someone is profiling you, as they are looking for a victim to rob, kill, or rape.
The fact that Trump is the president proves there is something deeply, deeply rotten in this country, and in this world. The fact that all of these events happened in just one day, is further proof. The world is frightening. I’m not saying stay inside, I’m just saying, when you ask me:
Do I think it’s going to get better?
No.
