The Least Surprising Murder Ever 2

The following is a factual account of the murder of Chad Oulson, a former U.S. Navy Petty Officer, by a former Naval cadet and Tampa Police Captain, and most recently Head of Security at Bush Gardens, guy named Curtis Reeves.

As the shooting victim struggled to breathe, an off-duty County Deputy who happened to be in attendance took action and prohibited Reeves from leaving the theater.

Chaos ensued, as Reeve’s son, a Tampa Police Officer, arrived at the scene, unaware of what had happened.

The film that all of these civilian or government military enlistees were seeing was Lone Survivor – which is set during the ongoing U.S. invasion of Afghanistan, and tells the story of a group of Navy SEALs who were tracking a Taliban leader, and all died in combat, except for a lone survivor.

I’d like to submit that the people attracted to law enforcement and military action are, by and large, aggressive individuals with little regard or context of their actions.

It seems as no surprise that a theater showing of Lone Survivor – which appears to be a propaganda piece –  in Tampa, a military stronghold, in a state featuring a machismo laden bullshit interpretation of the constitution called Stand Your Ground – which recently led to the acquittal of a wannabe police officer, who has since been shown to be an unhinged, tiny-dicked, homicidal coward named George Zimmerman – would be a hotbed for homicidal behavior.

Just think of who would be attracted to a film called  Lone Survivor – especially during award season where many quality films are on display. Rogue individuals. Career gun-toting killers trying to rationalize their actions possibly?

I have often felt the desire to murder someone who is texting in a movie theater. However, Oulson was only texting during the previews, which I think is acceptable – although who’s to say he wouldn’t have continued texting once the feature started?

Luckily I don’t live in a state allowing concealed carry laws, because I have indeed had similar arguments with theatergoers.

After Reeves asked Oulson to stop texting, Oulson apparently taunted him and threw popcorn at him – at which point he got shot.

That all of this comes during a particularly ominous time in American history, where, just last week, two officers in California were acquitted of beating a man to death, on camera, with audio, with the guy pleading for them to stop, during which one of the officers put on rubber gloves and, on camera, with audio, and told the guy he was about to “Fuck him up” seems telling.

A jury, no doubt people who have had this police presence literally and figuratively hammered into their skulls, decided that police can, once again, get away with murder.

And  it seems as no surprise that Reeves, by all accounts, found himself entitled – well within his rights – to have shot the man. He sat calmly afterwards, and his lawyer has invoked Stand Your Ground as a defense.

Indeed, asshole, stand your ground against movie theater popcorn. After all, it may cause cancer.

This entire God-fearing, war-affirming disgusting culture led me to be completely unsurprised by the whole thing.

If it happened during the previews before a screening of Nebraska, I might genuinely be shocked.

Thank you for the RT on Kelly Thomas. Two nights ago, just two days after the verdict, while I was waiting for California to erupt in protest over the wrongful acquittal of the brutal cop /killers. . .and there was no outcry. . .I expressed my outrage on Twitter, and before the evening was done, I received two emails from
?? with suspicious sources. I contacted twitter, was told these were malicious dangerous sites, so I saved them to ‘trash’.

All of a sudden they were in my DM…and I thought only ‘followers’ could send/receive DM. today, both the direct mail (emails?) AND the ‘saved trash’ have disappeared!. Since I didn’t ‘write’ down or remember the links, I cannot find them.
…and they are now gone from my iPad. Also, today, as I was going back and forth on Twitter, all of a sudden photographs appeared on my site…along w blue boxes w/question marks … then that has returned to normal for the moment.

It is as if (whomever?) has gained accesss or broken into my account. . .reviewed
any potential for me becoming a ‘threat to ?law and order? ?? …and AT WILL, have been able to completely access my email, delete their email, send and delete DM on my Twitter. This has scared me. After reading two of your blogs? .. I can sense that you are an experienced writer. Do you have any ideas about what has happened to me and who these people might be and how they have (seemingly) completely gained access to my email/Twitter. ??? Thank you.

I think there are a few possibilities: In no order of probability 1) Someone who works at Twitter disagrees with you and is being a dick, just as an individual because they are bored. 2) Twitter is allowing government officials to monitor the accounts of dissenting individuals, and they are just flexing their muscles a little bit. I know Facebook shares data with the NSA and, Twitter, although it is a private company, I’d assume would do the same based on pressure from the NSA and/or a friendly bribe or ‘donation’ on someone’s part. Whatever the specifics, someone is trying to intimidate you. Don’t let them. These people are cowards, you can see it when the pepper spray people that are handcuffed, and you can see it when they beat a mentally ill homeless man to death. They are pussies, so don’t let them intimidate you. It’s kind of funny if you just think about some guy going into your account and answering to a boss. Fuck it. Right?
